Those lockdowns gave some people the time to try out some new things, like this one man in California. He put his landscaping abilities to the test when he went about completely redesigning his backyard!

When the lockdowns first came into effect at the start of the pandemic, people found themselves with a lot of time on their hands.
A contractor in California was inspired by a backyard coffee shop he saw on Pinterest.
Building His Own Backyard Coffee Shop
He also loved coffee and decided that he could make himself a coffee shop in his backyard.
He got to work and got the materials that he would need to bring his vision to life.
Took Him Almost Two Months
The project took him just over two months to complete.
His family thought that he was joking when he first told them that he was going to be building the coffee shop.
Called It 'La Vida'
They certainly believed him when he did the big reveal of the beautiful coffee shop in their backyard.
He named it "La Vida" and it looks like the most adorable little place.
Cozy And Welcoming
The inside is just as welcoming as the outside. There is a coffee maker, a display for baked goods, and a counter where you can place your order.
The drinks on the chalkboard are all named after his family members.
Complete With A Fireplace
There is even a television, barstools and a small fireplace and a fan.
We think that this is a great that someone was able to bring their vision to life with a little hard work!
