Why Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Always Makes Time For His Little Pebble
Dwayne Johnson is setting the bar very high when it comes to parenting. If you grew up in the '90s, you knew Dwayne Johnson as the wrestler with the crazy eyebrows. Today, he's transitioned into one of the biggest movie stars in the world, as well as the ultimate dad.
Thanks to his social media, it's clear that The Rock is experiencing all the same sleepless nights and terrible twos meltdowns as the rest of us. While we can't all be The Rock (his bicep is the size of my face), we can use him as inspiration to become the best parent we can be.
The Rock Is Proud A Father Of Three
Many people don't know that Dwayne Johnson is actually the father of three beautiful daughters. Johnson married his first wife, Dany García, in 1997 and the pair had one child, Simone, in 2001.
Johnson had his other two daughters with his second and current wife Lauren Hashian. Hashian gave birth to Jasmine Johnson in 2015 and Tiana Gia Johnson in 2018. It's safe to say that The Rock is a lone wolf in a household of women.
He Always Makes Time For His Daughter Even When He's "Tired As Hell"
The Rock's daughter Jasmine is in what he calls the "tornado" phase (we all know what that means). The actor shared that one night after a long day of shooting and only three hours of sleep, Jasmine woke him up begging for an early morning playdate. It's easy to get frustrated when this happens, but Johnson proved he has some serious parenting patience.
The Rock shared that instead of heading back to sleep, he told himself "there's gonna come a time, years from now when jumping in my arms is the last thing she wants to do" so he "also takes these moments" when he can.
He Isn't Afraid To Do The Dirty Work
It's clear that The Rock isn't afraid to be a dad to his daughters even when he's busy. His daughter Jasmine is apparently notorious for wanting to paint his nails right when Johnson has to head to work. And what does Johnson do? Naturally, he caves and lets her do it because how do you say no to those eyes?
Johnson says he loves being a working father even if that means changing diapers on a private jet or having to eat his breakfast while getting his makeup done.
The Rock Is The Ultimate Cheerleader For His Daughters
Being patient with you're youngest during their terrible twos is one thing, but The Rock is a constant cheerleader for all his daughters. He recently took to Instagram to congratulate his oldest daughter Simone for graduating high school, and for getting into NYU.
The Rock also joked that one day, Simone will stop trying to pull away from her dad's kisses. Having a teenager and two young daughters can definitely make a parent appreciate the little things.
He Wants His Daughters To Grow Up Strong Like The Other Women In His Life
The Rock wants his daughters to be strong like him. He took to Instagram to share his goals for his daughter that includes being able to look people in the eye when they firmly shake hands, doing cardio, and figuring out how to make the world a better place.
Johnson's inspiration for his daughters comes from his family. He says that coming from a family of "beautiful, strong, diverse, and intelligent women" make him feel like the "luckiest SOB on earth."
