Woman Asks Baby Daddy What Her Red Flags Are And He Had The Receipts Ready
People are often quick to point out the faults of other people, but when it comes to taking an introspective look at ourselves, ignorance is bliss. The rule of thumb is you should never ask questions you don't want to know the answers to.
But one woman in North Carolina bravely decided to ask her baby daddy what her red flags were, and she's probably regretting that decision right about now.
The Family Dynamic
The conventional "nuclear family" of a mom, dad, and kids has changed in recent decades. From single parents to same-sex couples with kids, or families that have adopted children, the word "family" is everchanging.
So when it comes to families, perhaps you've heard of the term "baby daddy"—a man who is the father of a woman's child/children, especially if he is not married or in a serious relationship with her.
The Snapchat Message
Katelane Elizabeth Santos is a mother from North Carolina. Recently, she shared a post to Facebook that features a recent conversation she had with her "baby daddy" named Alex over Snapchat. The post went unexpectedly viral with 13,000 likes and comments, and over 100,000 shares.
"I asked my baby daddy what my red flags are," she wrote. "I got my feelings hurt. He ain't wrong."
Here Are The Receipts
After receiving Katelane's question, her baby daddy Nick provided a long grocery list of perceived faults she probably wasn't prepared for.
From a lack of accountability to drinking too much, having a butterfly tattoo, and "literally everything" else, perhaps these are the reasons Nick didn't pop the question? We'll never know, but we are certain that the man did his research.
Throwing Shade Like It's A Grenade
Stunned, Katelane then asks Nick if there's "anything else" he'd like to add, and boy, does he deliver. Apparently, he's not a fan of her codependence, mommy/daddy issues, or her questionable taste in music.
Although, his critique of her driving her Nissan Altima "with the windows down yelling ayyyyyyyy" is not a red flag, and is actually absolutely hilarious.
Get Your Car Serviced, Katelane!
While on the topic of Katelane's Nissan Altima, Nick also doesn't appreciate her history of poor car maintenance, such as never getting her tires rotated or going for frequent oil changes. At this point, she understandably begs him to stop.
Although we're not quite sure what an "emo phase and hood phase" looks like, so let your imaginations run wild with this one.
This Stuff Is Bananas
Nick's final (and hilarious) attack on his baby mama has to do with—of all things—her apparent dislike of bananas, which to him seems like the worst sin of all.
Although Katelane has a reasonable excuse for why she doesn't like bananas, Charles Darwin over here is unconvinced.
Oh How The Turntables...
The Facebook post ended up going viral, and it soon made its way across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. While Katelane never expected this level of internet fame, she did have fun with it, and it seems like her son Boone did as well.
"Am I the drama?" she asked. "This has gone TOO FAR. My own son has turned on me."
Newfound Fame And Newfound Therapy
In response to her newfound fame, Katelane had a simple message for her followers: "I somehow, some way. Ended up Facebook famous. I'll remember you all in therapy."
