This Family Has Been Making Silly Christmas Cards Since 2013
Regular old family Christmas cards can be kind of boring. Nobody is really interested in seeing a posed photo of your family in front of a Christmas tree. That's why this couple (known as Danielle and Mike) decided to make their Christmas cards a little bit more interesting. They first started sending out silly Christmas cards back in 2013 when Danielle was pregnant with their first child. They've kept up the tradition ever since.
Keep reading to see what creative poses they came up with.
2013 — Where It All Started
In this photo you can see a very pregnant Danielle posing with her husband and her dog in front of a Christmas tree. They went for a trashy look this year.
2014 — A Baby's Bottom
The next year, their kid was out in the world and his butt cheeks were on full display. They look adorable in these matching Christmas pajamas. The tradition was alive and strong.
2015 — All Tied Up
This year, it looks like Mom and Dad found a way to temporarily subdue their little one so that they could enjoy a glass of wine in peace. Don't worry, the duct tape was added in Photoshop.
2016 — A Whole Lot Of Chaos
In 2016, Mike and Danielle welcomed a new baby into their family. Of course, that baby had to be featured on the Christmas card. Life isn't easy with two kids.
2017 — Baby, It's Cold Outside
This year, the parents got locked out of the house while the kids rushed to open their Christmas presents. A lot of the effects in this photo were done in Photoshop.
2018 — A Hawaiian Christmas
In 2018, this family decided to leave it all behind and spend Christmas in Hawaii. 2018 was a rough year, but they had no idea what would be in store just two years later.
2019 — A Rock And Roll Christmas
The kids are growing up so fast! They look so much older in this picture... This rock and roll vibe is a great way to welcome in the holiday season.
A 2020 Christmas
Well, we've caught up with the present. This year's Christmas card is a little bit different. There's toilet paper everywhere, Dad is working from home, and nobody can go on vacation.
Meet John Cessna
John Cessna also got in the Christmas spirit by making his own yearly Christmas card to send out to family and friends. Only, John's Christmas cards aren't as family-friendly as Mike and Danielle's.
The 2009 Photo
John wrote, "In 2008, my mom instructed me to 'sober up' and send my own Christmas cards to family and friends. Here's every year since. A decade of ridiculousness." These are amazing.
A Christmas Miracle
It looks like John must have been pretty cold in this photo. It takes some serious dedication to stand outside in the snow in a T-shirt and boxers. It was all for the sake of a joke.
Eat Your Fill
This year, John decided to highlight the gluttony that is often associated with the holiday season. Here he is chowing down on Kentucky Fried Chicken and eggnog (at the same time).
A Christmas Crime
Well, they do say that tensions run high around the holiday season. It looks like things finally reached a boiling point. That isn't the kind of Christmas present you want to find under the tree.
The First Rule Of Christmas...
John got fancy with Photoshop this year. This is the first time he really used special effects in his yearly Christmas card. We have to say that we appreciate the effort.
A Very Scary Christmas
These Christmas scenes keep getting more and more elaborate. We haven't even caught up to John's present-day Christmas card yet. I wonder what kind of effects that one will include.
A Christmas Alien Abduction
It looks like John's home was taken over by aliens this year. They started stealing his stuff, and they tied him to a chair with a string of Christmas lights.
Merry '80s Christmas
This family went with an '80s theme for their Christmas card this year. The large '80s glasses are a nice touch. We also love the matching black turtlenecks. These people seem cool.
A Quarantine Christmas
This year, Christmas is going to be a little bit different. It looks like this whole family got Hazmat suits from Santa. That man always delivers. Also, why do they have so many pets?
His Wife And Dog
This guy always poses for a Christmas picture with his wife and dog every year. This year, he decided to put his Photoshop skills to good use and edit them both into a Bladerunner 2049 homage.
Merry Christmas To These People
Well, we didn't think that it could get more '80s than the '80s style Christmas photo that we already saw on this list, but these people are here to prove us wrong.
Merry Christmas From The Cat
Cats always bring us the best Christmas presents, whether it's a mouse that they recently killed or a bird that's still sort of half alive. Thanks, cats, for always bringing the Christmas cheer.
A Sad Kind Of Christmas
This snowman doesn't look so happy about the prospect of a 2020 Christmas. His nose fell on the ground, he doesn't even care about the Northern Lights, and he just looks downright depressed.
They're Just Tired
These guys are just way too tired from living their lives in 2020 to sit up for a Christmas photo. We're all just going to have to be okay with this photo of them lying on the floor.
Never Work With Sheep
This girl was trying to take a nice Christmas photo with her sheep, but it turns out that sheep aren't very good at standing still and not running people over.
This Kid Thinks He's Funny
I don't know how he's getting those Christmas ornaments to stick onto his ears, and frankly, I don't want to know. This card is kind of creepy. Actually, it's a lot creepy.
When You Don't Have Kids
This woman's mother kept asking her to make a family Christmas card, but she doesn't have any kids. She decided to make this Christmas card featuring her two cats instead.
Christmas Is For The Boys
These four friends decided to get together and pose for a professional Christmas photo. They all wore their best cardigans and bow ties. We think this photo looks absolutely gorgeous.
They Did It Again
Yes, these are the same four men from the previous photo. This year, they decided to shave their heads, grow chinstrap beards, and wear some festive red turtlenecks. We think it came out great.
