These Travel Fails Are So Sad They’re Hilarious
Nothing says "excellent vacation" like a lousy forecast or forgetting some of your luggage. If all you want to do is to visit a landmark, our best advice to you is to make sure you check if the weather is okay whenever you plan your trip. If not, you might end up like a lot of these unfortunate travelers.
Great Way To Start The Trip!
You're on your way to a dream vacation, and you can hardly contain your excitement. Then, you take off for your destination, and the person behind gets a little too comfortable.
The next 8 hours should be a blast!
First Trip To Mount Fuji
This man came for the view but got fog instead.
He wanted the heavenly sights, but Mount Fuji didn't want to make his first visit everything he expected. Didn't he check the forecast?
What Grand Canyon?
They say the Grand Canyon is beautiful, life-changing, and breathtaking.
Unfortunately, this poor lady didn't get a chance to experience any of those things, but at least she kept a smile on her face.
No More Hikes For Them
One look at this photo and all we can say is ouch.
The way this person's body twists makes us think twice about any future hikes we might want to do while traveling.
Is That The Pilot??
We're hoping this is one of those jokes pilots like to pull on their passengers, but you never know these days.
Was it his first day on the job, or did he need a refresher before your vacation?
Canyon Of Ice
The Grand Canyon strikes again. Who knew that there could be so much snow at the Grand Canyon?
If that's what your first experience is like, it looks like you're going to have to come back.
A Waste Of Time
The person who took this picture flew to the National Gallery to see Van Gogh's work.
Upon arrival, not only did this person have to pay an entrance fee, but the painting wasn't there...
Where's Mt. Rushmore??
Visiting a place for the first time with your significant other is always a treat.
The only thing that might ruin it is a bunch of fog covering up Mt. Rushmore.
Some "Great" Wall...
This young lady planned her dream trip to China, which included seeing the Great Wall of China.
She had no clue this would be the best picture she could get from the trip.
Machu Picchu Was Great!
If your end goal for a hike is to witness an amazing view, then you need to check the local forecast before getting excited.
This man's trek that took four days resulted in this marvelous view of Machu Picchu.
The Glorious Neuschwanstein Castle
If you fly somewhere for 10 hours and you have only one thing on your planner, that's fine.
If that thing gets covered in fog the day you go see it, we're sorry.
The Cliffs Of Moher Weren't Fun
This lady took an 8-hour flight after five weeks of anticipation, and then made a long bus ride to reach the cliffs of Moher.
Too bad it was all for nothing.
Is This The Great Pulpit Rock?
There's nothing wrong with several hours of walking, as it helps you get in some exercise.
If those steps you put in were going toward letting you see a great view like the Pulpit Rock in Norway, well, at least you got in a workout!
The Cliffs Of Moher Strike Back
This time, someone traveled 4,000 miles from the United States to Ireland so they could see the cliffs of Moher.
At least they got to see some of the water.
For The Beautiful Sunrise
This lad climbed Mount Agung, a volcano in Bali.
That sounds like a fun idea, but he did it before the sun came up so he could see the sunrise. That didn't happen.
The View From The 65th Floor Is Crazy!
When you're 65 floors high in the sky staying in a hotel, you can imagine the views up there are nothing short of amazing.
Too bad this is what it looked like for someone who had the "Grand Times Square View."
The Famous Gateway Arch
St. Louis has a lot of history. The famous Gateway Arch is one of its most popular landmarks, which looks like a giant half version of the McDonald's M.
Too bad this person's first visit didn't go as planned.
Where Are The Mountains?
Imagine paying extra to stay in a room that promises stellar views of the mountains, but after a day, you want your money back.
This person found that the snowplow ran right outside the window of his quarters.
This Is A Disaster
There are few things more amazing than the Taj Mahal.
To have this be your view when you go to visit it isn't the greatest thing to experience. Better luck next time!
SF's Golden Gate!
San Francisco, California is a beautiful city. That doesn't justify the high price of living, but the Golden Gate Bridge is nice.
This man got there early, as someone instructed him, but this happened.
Why Isn't The Tower Leaning?
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a common tourist stop for those who go to Italy. Not only is it a piece of history, but it leans!
This person managed to get a picture that doesn't show it leaning.
Should've Stayed At Home
Honestly, this person didn't have to hike this trail to get this view. If he wanted to see a bunch of clouds, he didn't have to move a bone.
He went to the Grand Canyon to see something he can witness anywhere.
Moms Take The Best Pictures!
Don't you love it when your mother wants to take the cool pictures for you?
Unless she's a photographer or knows what she's doing, you might end up like these kids who have no evidence that they were at Mt. Rushmore.
Where's Big Ben??
This isn't the Big Ben we all know and love.
This is only a shell of what he is. We're sorry to the person that wasted their first trip to London to see this.
There Goes A Llama
If this isn't a llama, then it's a llama-alpaca hybrid.
Whatever breed it is, this animal was the highlight of this person's morning Machu Picchu hike to see the sunrise.
No Bridge In Sight
This man finally had the opportunity of a lifetime. He was set to see the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, but Mother Nature had other plans for him.
At least he still looks happy!
Construction On The Beach
Maybe if they sent out a notification about construction on the beach, this person wouldn't have had to experience this disappointment.
What are they even doing, building a grand sandcastle?
Nothing Like The Brochure Said
To get to this view, you have to get a hard-to-obtain permit, and then you have to hike for 10 miles.
After that, you would want Havasupai Falls to have the blue water, not the mud.
No Lake In Sight
Going out of your way to see something people constantly hype up can go terribly wrong, but it can be something that makes you happy.
This person wanted to see Crater Lake and got this.
