People Share Their Wedding Fail Moments So You Can Feel Better About Your Special Day
Weddings are joyous celebrations that bring people together to celebrate the love and happiness of a couple, but they're also stressful, expensive days that often don't turn out as you expected.
There's about a zero percent chance that every single thing on your wedding day is going to go exactly as you planned, and there's nothing you can do about it. You just have to accept it. Your day will still be wonderful, and you can be thankful that whatever happened to these people on their wedding days didn't happen to you!
Is It Too Late To Leave?
Depending on how close you were sitting to the front, you might've been able to slip out the back doors during the ceremony. If not, at least you got to celebrate one happy couple that day—even if they weren't the couple you thought.
Leave Room For Jesus
If you choose to forgo a faith-based ceremony, chances are there's going to be at least one family member who has something to say about that, but typically your photographer isn't the one to make their feelings known.
Bear With Me
We thought this story was going to end with someone letting a bear loose during a wedding ceremony, so at least it was better than what we expected. Plus he's still young enough for this to have been cute instead of concerning.
That's Not How This Works
People seem to forget when it comes to weddings that you can't add extra guests with ease, especially not five of them. A couple might be able to squeeze one or two extra guests into a venue, but if you get an invitation for two people, it's not a "bring a friend" situation.
They Still Had The Time Of Their Lives
So on top of the bills you had to pay off for things like catering, flowers, or the DJ, you also got to start your married life paying off hospital bills!
When Will People Learn?
Unless you're 1000% sure that a woman is pregnant, please don't congratulate her on her baby—especially if you're doing that at her wedding while she's wearing a gown that she spent months stressing about looking good in.
You Can't Fault Him For Celebrating Love
It's one of the happiest days of your life. Everyone is there to celebrate you and your new spouse—it's easy to get caught up and over-celebrate a little bit! No one can get mad at you, but they can take pictures of you to laugh at for years to come.
Just Married (Someone Else)
As long as the decorations were preacher-friendly, this really isn't the worst thing. Sure, you wasted all your decorations on the wrong car, but the preacher just performed the whole ceremony—he deserves to celebrate too.
Another Side To The Story
The groom had a great time at the wedding and provided not one, but two women with excellent content that they got to share with the rest of the world.
Time To Reset And Try Again
Shouldn't someone else have noticed that a vital part of the wedding ceremony had been skipped over? The bride and groom were wrapped up in their day, so they're excused, but what about any other person who had ever been to a wedding?
Her Second Husband Will Be Better
The whole point of a bouquet toss is that it's for the single or non-married women, but maybe this woman was trying to send a message to her current husband that she's looking for a replacement.
Poetic Justice
While she may not have orchestrated it herself, you can tell she wasn't exactly upset by the coincidence. Even if her father-in-law was annoyed, if the groom doesn't care then she's in the clear.
Just Because They're Old Doesn't Mean They Don't Want To Party
On the other hand, think of the bachelor party or birthday party of people who were expecting to get a party bus and were instead given a plain old handicap bus with a wheelchair ramp.
The Fake Runaway Bride
At least she got her money's worth on that wedding gown! You spent way more than you'd ever spend on a regular dress, why not get as much use out of it as possible?
Perfect Timing
Maybe they weren't objecting, they were just celebrating a little too early! It would give everyone something to laugh about, and it's a better alternative than if an actual person had tried to object.
The Star Of The Show
It might not have been the first dance photo you'd been dreaming of, but now you have a great photo to use at this little guy's wedding in the future, and you've got a great story!
Someone Had To Say It
And if there's ever a third wedding, it's going to be a private ceremony at City Hall with no family present, far away from this little boy and his judgments.
That's True Love
If she was having cold feet or any sort of doubts about her future husband before this, the fact that he was still willing to kiss her after this proves just how dedicated he is. He's a keeper, for sure.
Damn Yankees
The silver lining to this one is that at least this man had a very clear, specific reason for dressing this way that you could explain and prove to other people. It would've been much worse if some wedding guest had just chosen to dress in a Confederate Army uniform.
No Contact Sports On Your Wedding Day
Typically, the bride and groom avoid any sort of contact sport on the day of the wedding or in the couple of days prior, but apparently, they also needed to specify that no one in the wedding party would be allowed to play hockey.
Like Mother, Like Daughter
There's nothing like reminding the sister of the bride that not only is she not the one getting married, but she also apparently looks old enough to be the mother of someone old enough to get married.
They Have A Lifetime To Get It Right
Couples put a lot of pressure on their wedding day to be the best day of their lives, so it seems like the world is ending when something like the cake falling apart happens. As long as you can laugh about it, though, you're going to be just fine.
Isn't It Ironic?
You're normally the one telling people it's going to rain on their wedding day, but this time you get to switch roles and be the person who has to convince themselves it's okay that it rained because it's good luck, isn't it?!
Not Exactly The Picturesque Background They Were Expecting
This seems like one of those things that the wedding planner should've checked, or even that the party boat owner might have mentioned before the happy couple showed up on the day of.
Problem Solving Is Not Their Best Attribute
What part of someone's brain thinks that the correct solution in this situation would be to just throw the entire bag of rice as one solid lump, instead of simply not throwing any rice?
When You Marry A Man, You Marry His Family Too
Maybe your videographer can do some creative editing and cut those clips from the video... At least your new husband didn't pull a Ross Geller in the middle of the ceremony and call you by his ex's name while you were exchanging vows!
It Was His Time To Shine
They're celebrating their 7th anniversary which must mean this random dog relieving himself on the chuppah didn't curse their marriage forever, plus the scenery was so beautiful you almost don't even notice the four-legged friend.
Anyone Have Some White Paint On Hand?
This is one of those situations you could literally never prepare for—you just have to hope that nothing like it happens. Hopefully, some of the photos she took before the incident were good!
A Toast To The Groom
Did they confuse a wedding for a performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show? They got stuck in a crummy situation having to sit through a whole ceremony with a piece of crunchy bread in their pocket.
When You Know, You Know
And she didn't even have the decency to do it in the privacy of the bridal suite before the wedding. Looks like it took actually seeing her friend in a wedding gown to solidify her love.
