People Are Sharing Their Most Awkward Family Photos
When it comes to family time, there's no way everyone avoids being awkward. Someone will wear, do, or say something that makes the whole environment cringe a tiny bit inside. Since it's family, no one cares about it that much, but that's about to change.
An Instagram page posts the most embarrassing family pictures that users submit, and now everyone gets to laugh at them.
Hit In The Face On His 9th Birthday
This kid's friend accidentally hit him in the face on his birthday, forcing him to go to the hospital.
When he finally got back, only three friends were left and he had no clean clothes.
This Ride Looks Fun!
Looking at these two, you can tell they didn't have a good time on this ride. The shorter one seems like she's seconds away from dying in that seat.
The other guy looks like he probably soiled himself.
There's Always One
There's always one person who ends up doing something like this.
If you're going to put the camera on a timer, at least give yourself enough time to walk back to the group.
Someone's Had Enough
Either the food was that good, or this little guy needed a nap!
Look at the rest of the family: they're so happy that they got this embarrassing shot of him.
How Well Did This End?
When it's time for the uncles to play with their nieces and nephews, something like this can happen.
I'm not sure if this little one landed safely or not, but it looks fun.
Ouch, That Hurt
What do you think you are doing, throwing lit sparklers at a child?
Okay, it was probably an accident, but the look on this kid's face is what makes this.
I Want A Divorce
I'm not even involved with this couple and I already want a divorce.
Look at the guy's face in the back, wondering how he ended up with this woman making him do these poses.
"My Boyfriend's School Photo Circa 1985"
I'm glad this guy's girlfriend had the courage to post this so everyone could see how "hip" her boyfriend was in school.
Did...did he show up without anything under that coat?
The Pink Goose And Mickey Deer
Parents shouldn't let their children settle for anything less than what they deserve, unless they're trying to teach them a lesson.
Making your child pose with fake mascots seems a bit harsh.
Not The Greatest Sight
Unfortunately, someone should've left this one in the past.
Why doesn't this older gentleman have any pants on, and why is there another man in the background smiling at this?
"Homecoming Around 1990"
If this is what homecoming looked like in the '90s, I'm glad it stayed in that era.
The five in the back seem like nice people, but why is the guy in the front not in costume?
Someone's In Danger
If I didn't know any better, I'd say that this little boy is in for a rude awakening.
Whatever he did to that little girl was enough to send her over the edge.
"Nothing Says 'Omg What Have We Done?' As Much As This Picture"
These two just had their baby two days before this photo. The looks on their faces spell trouble and regret.
Thankfully, nothing worthwhile comes easy, so they're probably good by now.
Someone's Husband When They Were Younger
There's no telling what in the world is going on here, but it looks unique.
That's the best way to put something like this, but it makes you curious the more you look at it.
She Really Wanted That Bouquet
The old superstition is that if you catch the bouquet when the bride tosses it back, you're up next for marriage.
This woman must desperately want someone to put a ring on it.
Congratulations!!
Nothing says "congratulations" like your dad wearing no shirt and short shorts.
He didn't know that this photo would hit the web years later, but here we are now laughing at it.
The Photographer Gave This One For Free
The photographer who took pictures for these three knew this one was hilarious, so he gave it to the parents for free.
Maybe the youngest one passed gas and it resulted in everyone's face getting screwed up.
Maybe Cancel The Photo?
Nobody wants to have an embarrassing moment like this memorialized, but clearly the photographer didn't care.
Let's be honest, if this was her dad taking the photo, this is a total dad move.
They Good In There?
I get the effect they were going for, but seriously? This kid looks like they're being suffocated.
I thought the whole point of these before and afters was to showcase your new baby...
"Our Social Distance Easter Photos Turned Out Terrifying"
I don't think "terrifying" is the correct way to describe something like this.
That little child looks like she's in distress, and that bunny might appear in her nightmares for the rest of her life.
Hey, It Isn't THAT Bad
A girl's mom was so excited to have her license renewed, so she got her hair done and the whole nine yard.
When it was time for the picture, this was the result.
"She Doesn't Look Very Relaxed"
These two hung out with their grandma that day, and she looks defeated. Helping raise children is pretty tough, and here's the photo proof of that statement.
Hopefully, she's happier now.
Hold On, Dude!
We know the child isn't having fun during this drop, but it's the man behind him that gets me.
He looks like he could like it, but deep down, he might be just as scared.
"My Sister's Senior Prom Fell On The Same Day As My Dance Rehearsal"
The big sister clearly didn't have fun taking this picture with her kid sister on the day of her prom.
Her little sister looks like she's the happiest girl in the world, though.
A Family Tree Portrait
I haven't seen many family shots like this, and there's probably a good reason for that. They look happy here, so there's no point in making fun of them.
They'll probably laugh right with you.
The Biggest Mistake Of Her Life
Right at this moment, the bride looks like she's thinking, "I've made a huge mistake."
No more late-night Taco Bell runs after the club for her. At least the guy looks happy.
Santa Had To Get A Peep
Santa spends one night of the year making sure kids get all the toys they deserve. The rest of the time, he's with Mrs. Claus.
The man deserves a sneak peek every now and then.
They Had To Include The Doll
If this doesn't haunt the kid in the future, I don't know what will.
I'm guessing this doll was a big part of their family at the time if it made it into the portrait.
A Bite Of The Peach
It seems like this child had an appetite for mom's peach!
This isn't one she usually shares, so this kid had to take a bite with stealth and confidence to secure the victory.
At Least He Looks Confident
This man thought he was all that and a bag of chips with this spotted getup.
The lady he's with has on a regular, cute outfit, so why did he have to do this?
Dunking A Baby
We must have a pretty big sports fan here! He's no LeBron James, but he's got some good dunking form by the looks of it.
I can't believe his wife agreed to this.
"At The Time, I Didn't Realize How This Would Look"
If you're taking turns taking pictures with a monument like this, you might want to consider all of the implications.
I know she had no idea it would look like this, but it's highly suggestive.
She Perfected The Side Eye At A Young Age
The baby is clearly not impressed. What is unclear is whether she's judging her sister or just disappointed in her.
Maybe she just wanted to be in the picture all by herself and not have to share the spotlight.
There's Always That One Family Member
Maybe it was very windy that day, but in her own words, "everyone looks catalog perfect and then…there's me."
There's always that one person in the photo who just gets caught at the worst time and no one bothers retaking the photo because they all look great.
The '80s Were An Interesting Time
If the 1980s could be summed up in one picture, there it is.
From the mullet to the pastel-colored sweaters to even the dolls, an entire decade is represented by this family.
Can't You Feel The Love?
Rest assured that this couple is still happily married and claims to have been smitten since their first date.
Looking at their engagement photo, we can't exactly see the love. She looks like she's done with him already.
Pure Fear Or Feeling The Music?
Sometimes, you just get so caught up in the feeling of the music that you get overwhelmed with emotion, and other times you're just a toddler who for some illogical reason is terrified by this guitar.
Or maybe he's terrified by the strength of his own musical genius.
It's The Thought That Counts
A grandpa simply wanted to surprise his grandson for Easter by dressing up as the Easter Bunny.
Instead, he ended up looking like the subject of the kid's nightmares for the next 10 years.
Where's Waldo?
This family photo taken in 1994 is a tribute to the famous Where's Waldo? books.
Naturally, all the kids were very embarrassed to wear these, but their dad made them wear it anyway whenever they were in public.
"A 'Sears Sophisticated' Style"
These six sisters really wanted to get creative with their family portrait, so they attempted to go for a serious pose that also had a 'Sears Sophisticated' style.
Instead, they look like they're about to get into a huge fight.
No One Bothered To Smile
Maybe the photographer had just said something really confusing, because the woman is clearly forcing a smile, the dog wants nothing to do with the photo, and the husband looks like he's ready to go punch someone.
Doesn't look like a happy photo session, that's for sure.
It's All In The Drawing
Family photos are sometimes drawn instead of photographed. This twin drew his brother burning in a fire with the grim reaper ready to pick him up. Meanwhile, he drew himself walking back into the house smiling.
Good thing art is open to interpretation.
