Kids Who Tried And Failed To Get Away With Crazy Antics

If you have children, it's pretty much a guarantee that at some point in your child's short life, they've done something dangerous without realizing it was dangerous, and you've nearly had a heart attack.

Children are resilient, no doubt about that, but there are some instances where you come away from it just happy that your kid has emerged mostly unscathed. Here are a few of those instances that children or parents have lived to tell the tale about.

It's Definitely Not A Good Idea

Whatever the idea was, if they have to ask whether or not it's a good idea, it's not.

Silence is usually something that sends a parent running into another room, but this would too.

Grandpa Could Have Stopped Him

"You know he's drawing on my walls, right?" Clearly not!

Why wouldn't Grandpa have stopped the child, rather than just casually dropping that bomb on the child's mother and leave her to deal with it?

No More WWE For You

Funny that dad's first priority wasn't their safety, but the fact that they could break the bed.

Also, they make a fair point! You won't build them a wrestling ring, so they've got to improvise.

Oh No No No

There is pretty much never going to be a situation where the words "hammer and nail" should come out of your 4-year-old's mouth.

Not unless you know that they have a plastic tool kit, and you know that the real hammer and nails are still in your toolbox.

Having fabric tied around their necks is already a choking hazard, and then you add in the fact that they're trying to leap through the air?

Definitely not the welcome home Mom was looking for.

She's Not A Liar; Her Cushions Are On Fire

So yeah, maybe he should have caught on to the fact that his child building a pile of fabric in front of a lit fireplace wasn't a good idea.

All he can do now is put it out and try to hide the burn marks from his wife.

Chowing Down

Of all the things that they could have taken a bite out of, this is arguably one of the worst choices they could have made.

He just couldn't wait long enough for her to come back with the juice.

Screaming In Pain And Panic

While the girls were screaming in pain, mom and dad were probably screaming at each other over who was supposed to be the one supervising the two tiny troublemakers.

Regardless of who was supposed to be watching them, clearly, no one was.

They Were Young Adults, Not Even Children

So what we're hearing is that no matter how old our children get, there are always going to be instances where they act like children?

If anything, they've just upped the circumstances to more dangerous antics.

Calm Equals Chaos

Having a quiet house is something that most parents will tell you they crave, but experienced parents also know that silence means something is wrong.

Any children who are quiet for an extended period of time are almost definitely doing something they're not supposed to be doing.

A Young Smuggler

His parents probably should have wondered what "puddle" he managed to fall into at the zoo...

A better question though, is how did he smuggle a baby penguin back to the house?

A Future Plumber

In his defense, he was playing quietly in the upstairs bathroom.

Legos weren't enough to keep him busy, so he decided to start playing with the sink drains.

"She Made It To 25"

After an incident like that, it's amazing that she was even able to make it to the age of 25.

She should focus on letting the squirrels fly over to her, rather than her going to them. Make them work for their food!

A Repeat Performance

The fact that she knows that it makes fire come out of the wall makes us think that this was not the first time that she'd done this.

This was simply the first time that her parent had caught her.

This Was The Kid Who First Ate Tide Pods, Probably

Well, it's good to see that their habit of eating things they shouldn't eat didn't go too badly for them considering they're alive to share the story.

Their parents are probably happy the child lived to tell the tale too.

Speedy Little Devil

Turns out when you're a parent that you can't even go to the bathroom in peace without worrying about what kind of trouble your tot will get into.

If he got up the tree, he could probably get himself down, too.

But Whose Kid Was It?

There's no doubt that their mother would be relieved to discover that her child was not standing on a balcony five floors off the ground.

The question remains, though: whose child was standing on her balcony?

They Speak Their Own Language

They don't have the skills needed to process that they should take the coffee cup off the table before they move it.

They just know that they want to move the table.

A Lot Can Happen With A Little Teamwork

With a little determination and a lot of teamwork, they were able to accomplish something that two adults then struggled to fix.

Interesting that they can't go more than a few hours without needing a nap, but they can move a dresser.

A One-Night-Only Performance

It wouldn't be difficult to convince her younger brother that she was a magician considering she managed to land the knife in between his feet without stabbing him.

She just should have left it as a one-time-only performance and not tried to replicate it.

At Least They Put Shoes On

Their parents can take comfort in the fact that at least their children had the good sense to put on shoes before they broke out of the house.

How do you think their parents discovered them on the street?

The Sitters Didn't Even Wait To Be Paid

You know that it must have been a bad night if the babysitters didn't even want to stick around long enough to get their clearly well-earned pay for that night.

They're traumatized after just one evening.

If that kid was dumb enough to believe that something with the word "glue" in the product name wasn't going to result in gluing his hands together, that's on him.

Mom probably had fun explaining this to that child's parent.

Bring A Treat Back For Mom

Those kids could easily spin this one. All they were trying to do is bring a treat back for mom because she's had a lot of wild pregnancy cravings!

They definitely didn't break out because they wanted the candy for themselves.

Time For A Little DIY Makeover

You want to nurture your child's passion because what if she's destined to become an interior designer, but where do you draw the line?

Defacing the carpet in the living room is probably past the line.

Moms Have This Sixth Sense

This is the exact reason that moms need to have eyes in the back of their head.

If they weren't able to sense the danger, there'd be fewer children who live past the age of 10.

Always Hide The Super Glue

Well, no wonder she was so quiet; her lips were glued shut!

Apparently, super glue needs to come with a warning that you should keep it far out of reach from your children.

He's ready to dive headfirst into his latest hobby!

Maybe this will convince Mom and Dad that he's serious about wanting to take swim lessons. They'll sign him up for classes to avoid any further head injuries.

Or We Could Not Do That

Some botanist didn't decide to call it "stinging" nettle just for fun. There's definitely a sting to it.

Kids have to come to conclusions like this on their own, though.

They Were On The Defensive

Any younger sibling who is going to be spending an extended amount of time around their older sibling and their friends needs to know how to defend themselves.

After the hammer incident, they probably left those little kids alone.
