Kids Recreate Their Family Photos All Grown Up And It’s Hilarious
Kids are so cute when they're little, but it doesn't always mean that they have to grow out of that cuteness. It's all about presentation. These adults recreated their old family photos and the results are both hilarious and adorable.
An Unbreakable Bond
No bond is quite the same as the one between man and dog. These two have been best friends for 15 years, ever since the dog was still a puppy and the man was still in diapers.
They Never Lost Their Sense Of Humor
Even after 24 years, this family never lost its sense of humor or ability to comfortably joke around each other. You can tell their smiles are still as genuine as they were when they were children.
They Bring Out The Fun In Each Other
These siblings may have grown up since 1995, but they definitely never lost their childhood spirit. You can tell just by looking at the photo that this family gets together and has tons of fun, feeding off of each other's energy.
All Or Nothing
This guy went all out trying to recreate a picture of his Christmas spirit as a child at a public tree. He said the hardest part was finding red pants, so he settled for maroon. I'd say this was a success.
Creativity Is Key
The picture on the left of the stylish mom holding her baby in a plastic bag so she can freely shop went viral. Thirty years later, they adorably recreated the picture, except the daughter doesn't quite fit in the plastic bag anymore.
Smiles All Around
Everything was perfectly recreated from smiles to positioning. The only thing they couldn't recreate was the '90s fashion, so they just used regular clothes. Some things should be left in the past, anyway.
Friends Grow Into Family
Once you've been friends for long enough, you basically become family. These ladies recreated their photo after a 45-year-long friendship. The smallest ones then are now the tallest ones! It's quite beautiful to know that they've gone through all of life's milestones together.
Mom Still Had Her Dress!
These kids reminded their mom that they're the best gift that ever happened to her by recreating this picture with her as her 60th birthday present. Luckily, she still had the same dress and it still fit great!
He Changed Up His Look A Little
Even a couple of feet taller, covered in tattoos, with gray hair and a beard, you can still see the same spirit within him. The sailor costume and mimicked gesture definitely help, but it's the smile that gives away the fact that it's the same person.
He Never Grew Out Of His Love For Sonic
He was just as much of a big fan of Sonic at 6 years old as he is as a full-grown adult. You can bet he was first in line, in the exact set of suspenders and plaid shirt, when the new Sonic movie came out.
A Spit Image Of Each Other
If it weren't for the color distinction between the sepia side and the color side, would you have been able to tell which is the mom in the past and which is the daughter in the present? The resemblance is insane
The Dress Still Fits
This woman found an old American Girl outfit she wore as a kid in her parents' house, and it somehow still fit! Well, sort of... the skirt didn't zip and the top was more like a crop top, but it was still a nice walk down memory lane.
It's All In The Details
From the plaid blue pants to the balloons in the background to the recreated sweater with the correct age, every detail was kept exactly the same. Even his mom found the same sweater and jeans.
The More Dramatic The Better
This mom has many reasons to be proud. Not only was she able to finish her degree with a newborn baby, but she also got to see that baby grow and get her degree in the same gown and by the same wall years later.
How The Times Have Changed
Phones have come such a long way. There he was playing with an oversized landline phone in 1997 versus using a phone to take a selfie all grown up. Who would have thought it possible at the time?
Puppies Are Babies Too
This small puppy might be a big boy now, but some things never change. As soon as he smells food on the counter, you can count on him trying to reach for it to check it out.
From the 1960s To 2011
This jolly bunch of three brothers from Italy still loves nothing more than to share a laugh over a bottle of wine. You can tell they likely have big personalities and love to joke around and have a good time.
She Had No Idea This Would Come back On Her Wedding Day
You can always count on your sibling to take the nerves out of your big day. This brother gave his sister all the nostalgic feels by recreating a sweet, silly picture of them as children. It probably helped her get rid of some of the wedding jitters!
The Impressions Are Impeccable
I wonder how many practices it took them to perfectly recreate the same expressions from 13 years prior. The real question, though, is how is no one was smiling at Disneyland, the happiest place on earth?!
Basically Models
The recreated picture looks like something out of a fashion magazine. The funny part is that it wasn't at all their intention. The way they're looking off to the side is just something Instagram influencers have made popular.
The Bathtub Isn't Even Big Enough
It's already impressive that they were able to fit five whole children into one bathtub. It's even more impressive that they were able to fit as teenagers into Grandma's bathtub. It doesn't look very comfortable...
All That's Missing Is The Party Hat
The party doesn't stop just because you got older. In fact, they look like they're partying even harder in the picture recreation. All that's missing is the original party hat.
Traded In Party Hats For Solo Cups
Although they didn't have party hats at their disposal, they got creative and used Solo cups. Luckily, the cake, which is the most important part of any party, was present at both events.
She Passed On Her Good Looks
This is a photo of a mom and her daughter taken when they were the same age. The good looks have been passed down, including their strong jawlines and small physiques. The only major difference between them is the tattoos.
"23 Years Later, An Attempt Was Made"
In their defense, there are just too many of them to coordinate. Guaranteed that this picture was chaotic in both the original photo and during the recreation. The best part is they recreated their costumes from random items they could quickly pull out of the basement.
Still Not A Fan Of Kisses
These cousins were all born about three months apart, so you'd think that they were natural best friends. Except one of them never seemed to be a fan of their affection.
In his defense, affection isn't welcomed the same way when you're an adult as when you're a child.
Best Friends Forever
These pictures were taken 18 years apart, when the women were 5 and 23, respectively. Even though the pigtails and pink printed T-shirt look a bit outdated today, their smiles and personalities haven't changed one bit.
Standing The Test Of Time
So much happens in a lifetime, which makes bonds such as these that survive the test of time even more special. Too bad they likely can't ride around in that car anymore, or they'd have the coolest vintage ride in town.
The Roles Have Switched
There is something really heartwarming about the bond between grandparents and their grandchildren. They're there to take your hand and guide you when you're little, and, just as you get old enough, it then becomes your turn to take their hand and help them.
They Even Kept Their Height Scale
Fifteen years later and they somehow grew up to be in the exact same height order. Although the possibility that they're using stools would also make sense. Either way, this is professional work!
