These People Hilariously Looked Back Nostalgically At Themselves
It never hurts to look back at the person you used to be. You likely grew, both physically and mentally, and it's important to remember where you came from while you continue on your journey through life.
It also never hurts to look back and laugh at the person you used to be. Whether you had a very unique haircut only a mother could love or a very specific niche look, these nostalgic childhood photos are good for a laugh and a facepalm.
"I'm 6 Years Old Here, But I Look Like A 40-Year-Old Accountant"
She might think she looks like an accountant, but I see something else. She looks like the younger version of Drew Barrymore. You can't tell me you don't see it just a bit.
"I'm 8 Or 9 Years Old, And I’m Playing The Role Of Marie Antoinette. And Yes, I’m A Guy"
I would feel a bit weird about this too after years passed, and I'd grown older and wiser. How did this little boy secure the role of Marie Antoinette in the first place?
"4 Years Of Hair Blunders!"
I'll cut her some slack. The only one that looks like a real blunder is the first picture. You can tell she tried a little harder each year before landing on the last one.
"I Graduated From High School In 2009, But It Seems I Took My Prom Too Seriously"
It's the top hat for me. Did he go around prom trying to pull rabbits out of his hat? The glasses look a little wild, wild west as well, so there's no telling what vibe he wanted.
"The More You Skied, The Cooler You Were Considered"
This girl had to be the coolest kid in school. Oh, you can't tell how? Look at the different shades on her face. Those goggles stayed on her face through the whole winter.
"My Mom Found A Photo Where I'm 18"
This screams the 90s all the way. Look at the desktop, the stereo speaker in the cabinet, and those CD cases up there. This man couldn't wait to turn on his dial-up.
"This Was My First Recital. And I Truly Loved The Fringe And Sequins"
For her first recital, at least she doesn't look too nervous. The cringe is there, but she had confidence in herself, so you can't blame her too much. This is a perfect throwback Thursday picture.
"I Refused To Accept That Long Hair Didn't Suit Me"
Hey, as long as he kept his confidence with the look, then everything is okay. It's great to know that he realized this wasn't a vibe when he grew up.
"I Was Told To Act Natural"
If this is his idea of natural, I would love to see him acting cool. This is a priceless pose and smile. He should have this framed in his home somewhere.
"My Friends Refer To This Picture As The 'Water Demon'"
Your friends hit the bullseye with that comparison. Those big front teeth and that pose give me an evil mermaid feel. At least she had the courage to post this.
She Wanted To Convince People She Was In A Band
This lady wanted to convince people she was in a band, but she had no interest in being in a band. What was the point of this wild look, my friend?
"My Boyfriend Was A Rebel In The 10th Grade"
Yes, your boyfriend was a rebel. You can't even see his eyes, but he made sure you could see his hair. She said his mom cried when she got this picture.
"The Year Is 1999. We Thought We Were Cool"
Is it just me, or does the guy with his shirt off look like Christian Bale? And the friend resembles Bam Margera. The only thing is, the wrong guy has the skateboard.
"It's The Year 1995. I’m 8 Years Old, But I Look Like A Middle-Aged Librarian"
You know what? This young lady does look like a middle-aged librarian and it's hilarious. She has sassiness all over her face, as if she's telling you make sure you return your books on time.
"My Sister And I Wore These T-shirts In Middle School"
Well, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They were young when they took this and didn't understand that concept. Why did their parents let them wear those shirts?
"Control Yourself, Ladies! This Handsome Guy Is Already Taken"
This guy is the master of cool. With his frames and his half-smirk, I don't think there's anything he can't accomplish. He probably did have all the ladies in middle school.
What Was He Thinking?
This guy said he worked at a musical merchandise store when he took this picture. He was 16 at the time, but I'm wondering what's going on with the Hello Kitty gloves.
"I Cut My Own Bangs"
Thank you for pointing out the obvious, sweetie. The uneven bangs aren't that bad, but they're clearly obvious. She also mentioned that she was afraid to blink at the photoshoot.
"My Boyfriend, Getting All The Ladies Since 7th Grade"
I would like to know what he looked like when he courted you? I see the braces here, so clearly he still had a lot of glowing up to do.
He's Got The Eye Of The Tiger
When you're young, you either think a picture like this is really cool, or you want nothing to do with it; there is no middle point. Some people think this style of photo should make a comeback.
"My Wife Looked Like A 60-Year-Old Woman As A Child"
I cannot disagree with you on that one, sir. Did she end up aging gracefully, and now look like a 20-year-old? She probably has the same face as this, 15 years later.
"With Permission: My Husband's 2003 Homecoming Photo"
This man wanted everyone to know he liked fire. That's the kid you don't mess with and you stay on their good side. There's no telling what he's capable of if he wore this.
"Finally Convinced My Girlfriend To Let Me Upload This"
How long did it take you to convince her to show this to the public? Puberty hit her like a truck! Hey, sometimes we have to wait to shine like we want.
"My Wife's Glorious Childhood Perm/Greatest Soccer Picture"
I didn't want to say it, but she defiantly looks like Hermione Granger. Look at her and tell I'm wrong. She could trick people and say they're related by showing this photo.
"My Husband's 1999 Senior Photos"
I'm guessing that the Superman picture is the one that won his wife over. The one with the flower in his mouth is a bit too expected. We're not going to mention the red shirt one.
This Man Was Tired!
This poor guy combined two of the worst haircuts in the bowl cut and the mullet, and combined them into one. Add in the start of a teenage mustache, and you have a picture full of regret.
"My Wife: Pilgrim, Futurist, Fabulous (1987)"
Yes, she does look like a pilgrim in this photo, but the futuristic background definitely throws us in a different direction. The fabulous part was a little added seasoning to make her feel better after seeing this.
A Man And His Bestfriend In '99
Well, what do you want me to say about this that you haven't already thought? Do the Korn shirts make you want to put on an old album and dress like this?
HIs Awkward Stage
If you ever wanted to know what an awkward stage looked like, well, here it is. This man rooted for rams while wearing black nail polish with an Anime haircut.
"My Husband Found A Picture Of Me In Grade School"
By the power of Grayskull, she has the power! This is a pretty good lookalike photo. All she needed was a sword to carry around with her and she could've fooled me.
