Hannah Calverley, 18, shared a video of the moment that she and her boyfriend found out the gender of their baby.
The father-to-be is 19-year-old Travis Gobe, a sophomore at the University of New Orleans. But the internet was not supportive of his reaction.
It Was A Baseball Themed Gender Reveal At The Campus
The baseball-themed gender reveal took place on the school's baseball field where Hannah pitched a low ball to Travis.
When Travis's bat connected with the ball, it exploded into a powder blue cloud revealing that they were having a boy.
Hannah Rushed To Travis But He Rushed To His Teammates
However, instead of hurrying to each other to celebrate, Travis immediately turned to his friends and teammates, who rushed towards him, pushing the expectant mother out of the way.
Hannah is left on the outskirts of the crowd looking in at Travis as he cheers with his friends about the baby that she's carrying.
The Teammates Were Equally Excited But Left The Young Mom Out
It's easy to see Hannah's excitement as she jumps up and down and claps her hands over her mouth.
She rushes toward Travis, but her short-lived moment was quickly overshadowed by a surge of his friends.

The oblivious teammates also paid no mind to the expectant young mother rushing past her and even knocking her out of the way.
Travis appeared thrilled to celebrate with his friends and seems to have forgotten about Hannah altogether in the moment following the reveal.

TikTok users did not take kindly to Travis ignoring his pregnant girlfriend and were quick to leave thousands of comments encouraging her to "leave him."
People strongly felt the young mom deserved better than being shoved aside at her own gender reveal.
The Team Crowd Blocked Hannah From Getting Any Closer
Some commenters admitted they felt sad for Hannah to have her special moment taken over by a group of loud teenagers who had no regard for her being there.
Even as she inched closer and tried to get through the crowd, the teammates and friends circled around Travis, blocking her from getting any closer.
She Created A Follow-Up Video To Address The Hate
The expectant mother was surprised by the backlash on the original viral video and made a follow-up clip to assure people that she was in fact happy with Travis and excited for their future family.
Hannah explained: "I promise I'm not upset, I’m OK, I was literally laughing, like, about how funny it was that everyone was jumping on him."
She Admitted That Travis Knows He Should Have Went To Her First
The 18-year-old also went on to admit that "'Yes, he should have run and hugged me, and he knows that and he feels terrible but it is not a red flag at all."
She adamantly states that "He's the best boyfriend in the whole world. And he’s going to be the best dad, so it’s OK. Y’all can leave him alone."
Travis Did Not Get Off Easy When It Came To Comments
But most viewers were not convinced and left comments continuing to berate the teen dad for his lack of awareness of his girlfriend.
It was actually the social media backlash that alerted Hannah to the problem she hadn't really noticed.

Speaking to Today, Hannah insisted that she hadn't even realized her boyfriend had done anything wrong until the social media backlash started pouring in.
She said, "I didn't think anything bad about it until I started reading the comments."
The Young Mom Agreed To Multiple Interviews To Set The Record Straight
She further explained, "What people didn't see was how he came over and gave me a huge hug and a kiss right after. We were so overjoyed and excited."
Hannah participated in multiple interviews to set the record straight and praise her boyfriend, defending him against the online attacks.
The Couple Planned The Reveal To Take Place With Travis's Team
Speaking with the DailyDot, the young expectant mother explained that she knew going into the gender reveal that "Travis would get tons of attention" because they decided "to do the reveal with just his team."
She also praised the baseball team for their participation.
Hannah Says The Team Supported Her After The Video Ended
"The team made sure to give me lots of love as well and there was never a second that I was sad about anything that happened."
Additionally, Hannah told Newsweek that she didn't think it was fair for people to judge her relationship based on a 15-second clip, "because in reality he was just so overwhelmed and excited with his team cheering him on."
The Couple Is Choosing To Ignore The Negativity
Despite the harsh comments on social media, the young mom boasted "He is definitely the most caring guy and I know he is going to be an amazing father."
Hannah's due date is set for October and the two are riding out their social media fame for the time being.
