The Internet Is Shaming This Dad For Going On Vacations While Wife Deals With 11-Week-Old Baby
When you have a newborn baby, the adjustment to your new life can be difficult. Hopefully, you have a supportive and loving partner who is always there for you.
This husband didn't get the memo, though, and Reddit is properly scolding him.
Advertising_Master And Her Husband Just Had A Baby
Advertising_Master took to Parenting Reddit to talk about some struggles she's recently faced with her husband.
She explains that she has three kids, an 11-year-old and 2.5-year-old from her previous marriage and an 11-week-old.
Family Support
For Advertising_Master, the first seven weeks of her new born's life went well. She had no obligation except to heal, feed, and love her newborn.
She was receiving aid from family, and she and her husband were also paying for help.
Her Husband Was Leaving Town Often
However, the latter four weeks have been rough for her.
Unfortunately, her husband has been going out of town frequently. He'd be gone for a week, then home for a few days, then leave for another week.
These Weren't All Business Trips
She says, "Only one of these trips has been for business; the rest are for sport."
"While it's extra taxing to manage all childcare and household responsibilities on my own in his absence, I've been supportive because I know these trips are important to him."
It's Been Hard On Their Marriage
In her post, she admits that all his traveling has been difficult and put a strain on their marriage.
"The weekend before this last trip, he was super aloof, grumpy, and distant." She writes
Financial Troubles
Then she writes about how he was frustrated and started arguing with her about their finances. And he told her that she needed to stop spending money.
"Do it all on your own, but don't spend any money doing it," he told her.
Mom's Been Doing A Lot
She explains that she's exhausted. "Nursing around the clock. Potty training our toddler. Preparing to return to work. Doing all household chores and repairs. Getting our oldest ready for his first year of middle school."
Her husband even said, "There are stay-at-home moms everywhere who do this with less money and more kids."
Redditors Did Not Hold Back
Redditors did not hold back in their comments.
Most, if not all, of the comments, supported Advertising_Master. And they also called out her husband for being a poor excuse for a parent and husband.
