40% Of Parents Would Leave Their Child In Coach For First-Class Seat
Anyone who has been in an airport before can admit that they are not the most relaxing of places.
The flight is not all that much more relaxing—unless you're in first class. A recent survey of parents revealed that a large portion of them would consider leaving their child behind in coach for a first-class seat. Here's the story!
Airports Are Stressful Places
While there is plenty of excitement surrounding your destination, the airport is a stressful place.
They are always very crowded and it's hard to relax until you're finally on your plane.
Rest On The Plane Is Difficult
Even when you're finally on the plane, it can be pretty hard to get good quality rest.
The seats just always seem too close together and they're never as comfortable as you would like them to be.
Flying With Children Is Difficult
Airports and flying are hard enough when you are by yourself—try flying with children.
Any stress or anxiety that you have when you're by yourself is drastically increased when you're flying with your children.
A Survey Was Conducted
The survey, conducted by Medicspot, had 2,000 parents take part.
They were asked about their concerns about traveling with children, when their next family trip is, and the big question of if they would leave their child in coach if offered a first-class seat. The results were published in The Sun.
4 In 10 Would Go To First Class
Close to 40% of those surveyed said they would take the first-class seat and leave their child in coach!
Many agreed however that the age of the child would play a role in their decision. Most of the parents said that their child would have to be over 13 for them to be comfortable leaving them in coach.
Many Parents Feel Bad
The survey also revealed that 55% of the parents admitted that they feel bad for other travelers when they have their kids with them.
They suggested that a section of the plane should be designated for families. What do you think?
